(133) Ambigous Genitalia in a 22 year old woman: A Case Report of Successful Perineoplasty and Clitoroplasty

Abstract Introduction External genitalia are considered to be ambiguous whenever there is difficulty assigning gender a child based on the appearance of external genitalia. It common presentation Disorders Sexual Development (DSD). Objective Reported here case 22year old single undergraduate identified as female who had disorder sexual development with resulting from congenital adrenal hyperplasia. Methods Although her in childhood could not ascertained, she presented inability achieve penetrative vagina intercourse, enlarged clitoris dissatisfaction and distress about genitals, poor urinary stream terminal dribbling. On examination clitoromegaly fused labia minora at midline which formed anterior urethral meatus shown Fig 1.1. She acne hirsutism. Investigations done show hyperandrogenism were suggestive hyperplasia no salt wasting. Results successful perineoplasty clitoroplasty satisfactory genitalia, has been able intercourse function streams have improved dribbling resolved.
